Introduction

In Lean, we launch the MVP as soon as posible, in order to start validating MVP and pivote MVP, according to the outcome of the tests over the assumptions, in a data-driven way.

Form some of the assumptions, we can get qualitative and quantitative metrics even before launching the MVP.

The Business Assumptions

See below some of the assumption, I made when I developed my business idea.

Video consoles are on demand even years after their production ends

Video games are demanded even years after production of video consoles ends

The second-hand video game market is healthy. There is supply and demand of second-hand video games

The indicators showed that second-hand general-purpose stores, dedicated a big part of their business to trade video games. In fact, a good percentage of customers, showed interest in video games in stock.

Face-to-face delivery used in Wallapop was appealing for sellers and buyers on trading video games

General purpose marketplaces did not offer a great customer experience for purchasing video games

General purpose marketplaces did not offer a great customer experience for selling video games

General purpose marketplaces did not protect buyers nor sellers on trading video games

Many Players prefer physical copies of video games, over digital ones

Before 2023, there is still market for physical second hand video games, even for top video consoles (Sony Playstation 4 and XBox One)
