What do I do?
From Luis Gallego Hurtado - Not Another IT guy
My passion is my job
What do I do?
- I develop software as much as I can. I love staying hands on.
- I learn, and learn, and learn even more.
- I share my knowledge, since I am a really team worker. I work on knowledge sharing and knowledge management.
How do I do it?
- I like choosing the right tool for the job, with pragmatism and depending on circumstances.
- I often self assess, since that is the way of keeping improving.
- I listen for constructive feedback.
- I speak with assertiveness, but I always respect other's points of view.
- I trust in agility and lean manufacturing, so I do time-box, and I apply continuous planning, (adjusting decision making to new inputs).
- I disagree and commit. After decision is made, there is not point on keeping disagreeing.
What don't I do?
- I don't repeat, since I automate as much as possible.
- I don't get into politics, ambitions or games of thrones.
- I don't betray my values, even if my boss tell me to do it.
- I don't stay on a company where the core values are not aligned to mines.
